The house was designed in a tropical-modern concept. Before demolishing the old house, to retain pieces of its memory, we decided to preserve the trees in the site and the roofing tiles to be used as a major landscape element in the project. The outside was blend with the inside through courtyards and patios within and around the house .The zoning- both vertical and horizontal- was the crux of the design concept keeping in mind the need for a balance between private and open spaces. The public spaces had bigger volumes compared to the private spaces such as the bedrooms.
