When you step into the heart of Kottayam, greeting you in the forefront is the scripted scrolls of a roundabout projecting the cuts and curves of Malayalam text. ‘ലിപി / Lipi’ is a roundabout uniquely designed sculptural landmark that pays homage to the city’s cultural vibrancy and linguistic heritage. This roundabout, situated at a central crossroads in Nagampadom in Kottayam, serves as a visual ode to the artistry and historical significance of Kottayam.

At the center of the roundabout stands an elegant focal point adorned with meticulously crafted sculptures depicting the graceful curves and strokes of Malayalam letters. These artistic representations not only showcase the aesthetic appeal of the script but also symbolize the literary richness that Kottayam, a city known for its deep-rooted cultural ethos, has contributed to the Malayalam language.

The central structure with a concept of sheets of paper with written text on it. The essence of the roundabout, where the letters of Malayalam script are not only visually admired but also physically touched and experienced, creating a meaningful connection with the cultural and linguistic heritage of the city.
